Not Your Typical Social Skills Program!

Would you expect wrestling and rough-housing at your child’s social skills program?

Well, if you think there is no value in wrestling and rough-housing when two boys with ASD get together, check out this clip where I’ve added my analysis of what is actually going on between the two boys from a social and developmental perspective. There is more to this type of play than meets the eye!

I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I enjoyed watching these two boys challenge each other and engage one another.

Always,

Libby

A Friendship Forms

Click here to view a clip of two of our long-time clients Alec and Tommy as they play together in one of their many “dyad sessions”. Note the shared responsibility each boy takes for keeping the interaction and ideas going! Captions written by our director Libby Majewski appear throughout and include analysis of what is happening between the boys. Enjoy!
